The estimated budget for a first-time, first-year Juilliard student for the nine-month 2024-2025 academic year is calculated as follows. This budget includes both direct and indirect costs.

• Direct Costs: Tuition, fees, insurance, and residence hall expenses, which are billed directly to students.

Most incoming students are assigned to a double room in the Residence Hall. Please see below for additional information regarding residence hall costs and policies.

Estimated Budget for Non-Residence Hall Students

*For military and DoD MOU purposes, Juilliard’s per-credit tuition rate for 2024-25 is $2,267, based on full-time study of 12 credits per semester.

**Health insurance is billed to all students.  U.S. Citizens and permanent residents with qualifying, U.S.-based health coverage may apply to have this fee waived.  The plan is mandatory for all international students.  

Newly admitted undergraduate students wishing to reserve their places in the next entering class must pay the enrollment deposit by May 1. Newly admitted graduate students must pay the enrollment deposit by April 15. If the enrollment deposit is not received by the deadline indicated, a student’s place at Juilliard will not be guaranteed. The enrollment deposit is not refundable. Enrollment deposits are applied as a credit toward charges for the student’s start term.

A bill for half of the annual tuition and all applicable fees will be available online in July and must be paid (in U.S. 2024年8月16日. A bill for the second half of the tuition will be available in November and must be paid by 2024年12月1日. 可亲自付款, 通过电汇, online or by mail to the Office of 学生账户.

Students who expect financial assistance (including Juilliard, federal, or state grants or loans) but who have not received funds or official guarantees by the above due dates, must make full tuition payments by the due date.

A deferred payment plan for tuition, fees, and on-campus room and board charges is available via Nelnet. Information on this plan may be obtained by contacting the Office of 学生账户 or online in Cadence, 茱莉亚学生门户网站.

Note: The following programs are either tuition-free or offer full-tuition scholarships to all admitted applicants.

Please note, however, that students are responsible for their living expenses and fees, including the Student Health Insurance Fee and the 取向的费用 when applicable.

Fall Semester

支付学费的学生, scholarship, and loans for the semester exceed the amount due will receive a refund. Refund checks are available during the second week of the fall semester and are generally available the first week of the spring semester. Refunds will not be issued until all funding has been received by Juilliard and credited to the student’s account. Checks are available from the Office of 学生账户 and will be distributed to student mailboxes when possible.

If a student wishes to withdraw from the school, written notice must be given to the provost’s office. The official date of withdrawal will be the day the provost is notified or the last day of attendance in any educationally related activity (including participation in performances), 以较晚的为准.

For withdrawals that occur after the semester has begun, 奖学金可按比例发放, and federal student aid may be cancelled, based on the number of calendar days attended.  The return of government funds may create a balance due to Juilliard for which the student is then responsible. Students who have borrowed from any student loan program at any time during their academic career should contact the Financial Aid Office to learn more about repayment requirements before withdrawing.

If written notice of withdrawal is received by the provost before the first day of classes of either semester, the student has no responsibility for the semester’s tuition. Please note that residence hall refunds for students who withdraw from the School will follow the guidelines set forth in the residence hall contract.

If a student wishes to withdraw from the Exchange Program, written notice must be given to the Juilliard School Provost. If written notice of withdrawal is received before the first day of classes of either semester, the student has no responsibility for the semester’s tuition. Students who withdraw during the semester are liable for a portion up to 100 percent of that semester’s tuition, depending upon the date of withdrawal, as follows:

To guarantee a room for the 2024-2025 academic year, returning students must pre-register for fall classes, and, 在5月份的注册期间, pay a $150 residence hall reservation fee and sign a housing contract. All first-time college students and other new students must pay a $250 non-refundable enrollment deposit to the Office of Admissions; at the same time, these students must sign a housing contract and pay a $150 residence hall reservation fee. Students have the option of signing a two-year contract to lock in the current rate for the next academic year.

所有学生, the $150 fee is retained by the school as a room damage deposit and is returned at the end of the school year, after the facility has been inspected and assessed for individual and common area damage. The residence hall reservation fee is not refundable if a student has signed a housing contract and later chooses not to live in the residence hall. Half of the annual residence hall fees are due from all students by 2024年8月16日. The remainder of the residence hall fees are due 2024年12月1日. These fees will appear on the tuition bill and may be paid in person, online or by mail to the Office of 学生账户.

*Students who signed a two year contract last academic year (2023-2024) are eligible for this rate.

Students may elect to sign a two-year housing contract that secures the room rate schedule for the current and subsequent academic year. This does not guarantee the equivalent room type for the following academic year. Students are required to pay the housing reservation fee each academic year.

Students wishing to terminate the contract prior to the beginning of the contract period will be assessed charges as follows:
